- car seat
I totally love this but I didn’t know that it would take up so much space in my GLA 250 Benz to the point that I can’t move my driver seat back enough to drive comfortably. My baby is turning 4 mos on the 5th of July and weighs 14lbs already. He looks like he only has another month in his Doona.
Rear facing car seats take up more room than forward facing seats, so we recommend installing them on the passenger side of the vehicle whenever possible. If you haven’t already removed the infant insert, please do so, you will notice that your little guy will sit deeper in the car seat. You can use your Doona until he is 35 pounds or 32 inches tall, as long as his head is more than an inch away from the top of his car seat.
This is about the easiest piece of BabyGear that I have discovered since my daughter had her baby!! From the Seat Protector to the Car Seat Base to actually popping out Berkeley IN the Car Seat and on to forward roll, the Doona is the Bomb! There are so many new safety restrictions since I was a mom that I find all the gear super bulky and extremely heavy. Brand new day when I discovered The Doona. Going anywhere now is no issue, The Doona is like having a "Fold-Up" car in your pocket!
I just found out that I’m having a baby not sure the gender but my fiancée had her eyes set on this and I had the extra cash so I just bought it while I can lol. I ordered the NitroBlack one, do-to not knowing the gender, but it took around 2 weeks or so to come which is good timing considering COVID-19 is around, so I was happy about that. I love this thing already. One thing is the handle bars don’t feel STRONG as can be but I mean how much strength do you really need to push a 20 pound baby. But Overall, DOONA IS WELL WORTH IT, Especially if it’s your first baby, splurge a little. No regrets.
Congratulations! We are so happy to hear that you love your Doona. Please be aware that the Doona handle has a certain amount of play in it in order for it to rotate between positions. The movement is necessary for the handle to do its job safely.
Awesome and convenient.
